Senior High Youth

Sunday Mornings

We begin our Sunday Mornings with Youth Fellowship in the ARK at 9:15. This is a time for the youth to reconnect, have fellowship time and refreshments.
From 9:30 to 10:00 am is their Study time and stay in the ARK for this.

Senior High Time begins at 7:45 and goes until 9:00 pm.
During this time, we have devotion, share our experiences of the week, pray, plan our service projects and just hang out and enjoy our youth room, building friendships. Grades 6th -8th Sunday Mornings begin at 9:15 with all the youth in the ARK for Youth Fellowship.
This is a time the youth connect with their church friends and refreshments are served.
At 9:30am Sunday morning Christian Ed classes begin, ending at 10:15 am.

CrossTraining Required Sunday Morning Classes include:

1. Getting around the Law
2. I am Lutheran
3. Martin Luther
4. Sanctuary Secrets
5. The Inner Circle
6. Worship Arts
7. Plus other elective classes are offered that builds our Christian Beliefs and brings the Word into today’s world.

Wednesday Night CrossTraining The evening begins at 6:00 pm with one of the Pastors teaching large group. At Zion we use the “Here We Stand” Confirmation Curriculum. The 3 year rotation include; The Small Catechism which covers, the 10 Commandments, The Apostles Creed, The Lord’s Prayer, Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. There are Units on the New and Old Testaments also. The Youth are then split into small groups with an adult and review and discuss what they have been taught. CHARLIE CHURCH MOUSE

Charlie Church Mouse, with children’s church activity bags, lives in the Narthex of Zion Lutheran Church.  He provides a bag full of activities for our younger members between the ages of newborn and ten years old to use during worship experiences.

LIBBY LIBRARY MOUSE STORY TIME

Charlie Church Mouse has a new friend called Libby Library Mouse.  Libby has story time on Wednesdays in June and July from 10:30-11:30 a.m.  However, Charlie and Libby will be on vacation for the Summer of 2007.  They will resume in 2008.

KINGDOM FOR KIDS

Held on Wednesdays 6:00-7:30 p.m. throughout the church for ages four years old thru fifth grade.  This special ministry is an interactive part of the Worth While Wednesday (WWW) activities.  Kingdom for Kids is developed to be an interactive, uplifting education and encouraging experience.  The children can be involved in: Kingdom Bells & Singing, Crafts, Bible messages, Snacks and Games.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Held the first week of August each year.  Open to all children age three (if age three by Jan. 1) through fifth grade.  Sixth graders have a choice to be in the program or to be a helper.  A different curriculum is chosen each year to have a week of high energy fun learning about our Lord & Savior!  Plan to be a part of the excitement!
